Alignment-based Hatha Yoga

Alignment-based Hatha yoga classes are based on the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar. In these yoga classes, all asanas (the physical postures) are done with great attention to the alignment of the body which allows free flow of energy, increases body awareness, calms the mind, strengthens and opens the body safely and effectively, challenges you mentally and physically, and helps you to bring the body back in balance. Different yoga props will be used in classes to help us access the poses safely and effectively. These classes are suitable for beginners and more experienced yogis.

We begin with mindful, alignment-focused movement to build heat and strength,
and finish with long, supported poses that relax the body and calm the mind.
