My Classes

Summer break July 13th-August 16th. No yoga classes during this time. I'll see you again on August 21st in Thalwil and September 2nd in Bellinzona.

Alignment-based Hatha Yoga

Fridays 9:30-11:00 at Mala Yoga in Thalwil

This class is taught in English

In a world that often encourages us to move faster and do more, this class offers something different. If you're looking for a yoga class that values quality of movement over rushing from pose to pose, you'll find time here to slow down, explore, and develop a deeper understanding of your body.

Whether you're new to yoga or have been practising for years, this class is designed to meet you where you are.

We take time to explore selected postures in more depth, allowing you to refine your alignment and gain a deeper understanding of the practice. You'll receive clear guidance throughout the practice, helping you understand not only how to do a pose, but also why you're doing it and how to adapt it to suit your individual body.

Inspired by the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar, we use yoga props to make the practice more accessible, supportive, and in some cases, more effective. The goal isn't to achieve the "perfect pose," but to discover how the poses can best support your body.

Each class combines strength, mobility, balance, breath awareness, and relaxation into a well-rounded practice that supports you both on and off the mat. Whether you spend long hours at a desk, enjoy running or other sports, or simply want to move and feel better, this practice is designed to help you build a healthier, more resilient body over time.

My hope is that you'll leave each class feeling stronger, calmer, and with practical tools that continue to support you long after you've rolled up your mat.

Restorative Yoga Class

Last Friday of the month at Mala Yoga in Thalwil

9:30-11:00 am

This class is taught in English

If you're constantly busy, always looking after others, or simply find it difficult to slow down, this class offers an opportunity to pause and give both your body and mind the rest they deserve.

Restorative yoga is a deeply restful practice designed to support recovery by helping your body shift out of "doing" mode and into a state that encourages rest and restoration. Supported by blankets, bolsters, blocks, and other props, you'll settle into comfortable postures that allow your muscles to soften, your breathing to become more spacious, and your nervous system to unwind.

We begin each class with slow, gentle movement to release accumulated tension and prepare the body for stillness before moving into a series of fully supported restorative poses.

This practice can be especially beneficial if you're feeling physically tired, mentally overwhelmed, recovering from demanding exercise, experiencing ongoing stress, or simply craving some time to slow down.

Unlike many forms of yoga, restorative yoga asks very little from you physically. Instead, it invites you to let yourself be supported—something many of us rarely allow ourselves in everyday life.

My hope is that you'll leave class feeling deeply rested, calmer, and better equipped to meet the demands of daily life.
